StrIVE Project Team Coordination in Datu Paglas, Maguindanao del Sur

MDFI OIC-Executive Director Jahira Ambalgan (left) explained the MDFI’s Strengthening Information on 2025 Voter’s Education (StrIVE) Project with DatuPaglas, Maguindanao del Sur Mayor Hon. Abubacar Paglas (right). She emphasized that StrIVE Project aimed to partner with the LGU of Datu Paglas to conduct awareness raising activity on the 2025 local and national election targeting traditionally marginalized excluded sectors from political processes, including youth, women, PWDs, religious, and traditional leaders.

 

MDFI Project Manager Jimmy Dalgan (2nd from left) added that at least 50 participants shall be expected and MDFI will also distribute IEC materials on 2025 Voters Education.

 

MDFI Consultant Dausay S. Daulog (2nd from right) added that the Project is funded by the British Embassy in partnership with The Asia Foundation and geographich area assigned to MDFI is ten LGUs in Maguindanao del Sur such as DatuPaglas, GSKP, Sultan sa Barungis, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Paglat, Rajahbuayan,Datu Salibo, Shariff Aguak, Pagalungan, and Guindulungan.

 

Mayor Paglas was so grateful for the StrIVE Project and mentioned that MDFI had been a longtime mentor of LGU Datu Paglas starting with the Todo-Unlad Cluster under the Local Governance Support Program. He added that his constituents needs to be informed correctly on the process of 2025 election to avoid misinformation and disinformation and LGU of Datu Paglas shall have its full support for theProject.
