A partnership meeting between MDFI and Subatra led by Parliament Expert/Team Leader Reginald Pastrana at Subatra Office, Cotabato City was held on November 14, 2023.

MDFI shared that the implementation of the StrIVE Project supported by The Asia Foundation with fund assistance from the British Embassy to 10 municipalities of Maguindanao del Sur (MDS) will start on the last week of November 2023 to January 2024.

Subatra appreciated MDFI's TAF supported AB3 Project and they committed to complement  funds for meals/snack of additional 50pax per municipality for the BTA Parliament outreach with MDS LGUs to engage more Bangsamoro sectors (youth, women, Ulama, traditional leaders, and PWDs).

Subatra shall also fund a Training of Trainers (ToT) on Parliamentary Governance to MDFI Staff to better equip MDFI in preparation for the AB3 Project roll-out.

Subatra will also explore supporting MDFI in plans to bridge MILG and LGUs through RTDs and Consultations on the Bangsamoro Local Government Code where results may be converted into position papers and/or Bangsamoro Policy Reform documents to be submitted to BTA for possible legislation.

MDFI is an accredited CSO at MDS PPOC and maintained its non-partisanship and good track records on governance, climate change/environment, and peace-building program implementation  since 1990s across municipalities around Ligawasan Marsh.
