MDFI OIC-Executive Director Jahira Ambalgan and Project Officer NorbenTampal participated in the First Quarter Partners’ Meeting of The AsiaFoundation at General Santos City. The purpose of the activity is to get anupdate of eight Activate Bangsamoro 3 CSO Partners Project implementation.

For the MDFI, StrIVE Project coordination are all done with the PLGU Maguindanao del Sur, Datu Paglas,GSKP, Sultan sa Barungis, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Rajahbuayan, Datu Salibo,Paglat, Shariff Aguak, Pagalungan, and Guindulungan.

During Projectinception, MDFI was challenged because Maguindanao del Sur LGUs are signatoriesagainst the Bangsamoro Electoral Code filled in the Supreme Court. But with thegood track record of MDFI partnering with these LGUs as a non-partisan NGO, MDFIwas warmly welcomed. This is manifested by the fact that upon discussion of StrIVEProject was explained which aimed at promoting active citizenry in theBangsamoro through awareness raising on the voters’ education for the 2025 ParliamentaryElection, LGUs committed to support the MDFI once schedule will be set.
