MDFI facilitated the conduct of baseline survey on Child Labor Monitoring System (CLMS) to be aware of the context of child labor among coconut oil supply chain in Barangay Sinaman, Dipolog City.Activity aimed to monitor,prevent and remediate incidents of child labor. ICLMS designed a multi-dimensional structure to make it a sustainable and low-cost tool to monitor not only child labor but also understand issues related to agricultural income amongst smallholder coconut farmers.

The activity is among the deliverable under the Protecting the Rights of the Children in Coconut Oil Supply Chain in the Philippines Project funded by Global March where the Department of Labor and Employment, Municipality and Barangay social welfare officers, academe, and community leaders actively joined.

MDFI implements the Project in barangays of Sapu Masla and Sapu Padido of Malapatan in the province of Sarangani, Barangay Sinaman of Dipolog, City, and Barangay Lingasad of Polanco in Zamboanga Del Sur province.
